I have been attracted to public speaking since 7th grade when I delivered my first speech. I continued to work on my public speaking skills through academic presentations in high school and now, I am improving through Toastmasters International and speech competitions because I love challenging myself and presenting ideas to an audience. It is essential that my career involves me public speaking because it's something I've become so passionate about. Aside from that, I love gourmet food, early morning runs, and vlogging my adventures. I am a business world enthusiast and a lover of handwritten notes.

Basically, my job is to show you how amazing our organization is and explain how it could help you be successful in your life. Once you feel committed to this wonderful organization and group of people, I can help you become an Official Member of the Toastmasters International Non-Profit Organization. On a side note, something about myself, besides attending all Monday Toastmasters meetings on College Ave, I love to spend my time by swimming, dancing (trying to attend Ballroom Dance Classes at Rutgers more religiously), hanging out with friends, listening to music, and doing henna. Anyways, enough about myself - I can’t wait to see and meet all of you at our Monday Toastmasters meetings on College Ave!

I love talking to people so if you see me around say hi! Over the summer, I was lucky to be part of the New Student Orientation program and help incoming students adjust to college life. During my free time, I love to explore different types of foods and my favorite dessert is Tiramisu.

Position: Secretary - Karen Quach
Major: Human Resources

I joined Toastmasters to build my self-confidence and my public speaking skills. I can honestly say Toastmasters aided in giving me the tools to succeed by allowing me to gain more networks and improve on my interviewing skills. Not only that, but this organization helped me meet some awesome people! I have future aspirations of working internationally. On my free time, I enjoy dancing, playing the ukulele, ping pong, drawing, and traveling.

Position: VP of Education - Allen Chung
Major: Economics/General History/Political Science
Year: 2016

My name is Allen Chung and I am a Californian transfer student in the School of the Arts and Sciences. As an avid international traveler, I lived in many foreign destinations, including Cambodia, where I had spent almost ten years of my childhood. I joined Toastmasters immediately after reading Susan Cain’s Quiet: The Powers of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking (2013) and I knew this is the organization that would help me explore a new dimension of my skills and attributes in a more structured environment. I am an enormous fan of southern literature and I enjoy learning about foreign affairs and listening to German synthpop music. I love performing community service and once I graduate from Rutgers, I plan to join the Peace Corps and eventually pursue a career as a Foreign Service Officer.
